This Water Rights Workshop hosted by Salmonid Restoration Federation (SRF), Trout Unlimited, and the 5 Counties Salmonid Conservation Program will highlight the necessary steps to come into compliance with California water law.
Topics will include riparian and appropriative rights, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife 1600 permit process, the advantages of filing, how to distinguish between county regulations and state water law, and how to calculate water usage and project future small domestic and irrigation use. This workshop will also highlight why water conservation, planning, and stewardship is important for salmon and steelhead.
The registration fee is $20 and advanced registration is recommended. You can also register at the door. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
